Patriot Demolition was contracted by the City of Wildwood to demolish the retired Wildwood Police Station, clearing the site for future development of the parcel. This project involved a structurally complex building and required careful planning to ensure a safe and efficient demolition process.
The former police station was constructed as a reinforced concrete structure with integrated tension cables, which added an additional level of technical complexity to the demolition scope. Patriot Demolition utilized a controlled demolition approach to safely dismantle the structure while managing the unique challenges associated with reinforced and post tensioned construction.
Sustainability was a key component of this project. More than 70,000 pounds of concrete and brick generated during demolition were recycled, reducing landfill waste and supporting responsible material reuse. The completed work delivered a fully cleared and development ready site for the City, while maintaining safety and environmental standards throughout the project in Wildwood.
